Morris Model Team Mission Statement
The objective of the Morris Model team is centered around the ideas of community resilience, energy conservation, and clean energy options in Morris and surrounding areas on residential, municipal, and business levels. The three-year technical partnership that has been initiated with Saerbeck, Germany will help to aid in the understanding of what it means to be a sustainable community through the sharing of ideas, strategies, and goals as we build our communities on the foundation of sustainable initiatives to ensure a safe, clean, and healthy future. The goal of the Morris Model work is to improve our commitment to climate protection and sustainability as we continue to learn how to make our community a better place.
The City of Morris, Stevens County, West Central Research and Outreach Center, The UMN Morris Office of Sustainability and the UMN Morris Center for Small Towns and other partners are collaborating to implement the Morris Model Mission Statement objectives.
