Session 4: Towards a Resilient Energy Infrastructure | May 25th, 6 - 7 pm |
Check out the Morris Model Resiliency Discussion Series session held on May 25th where we had the pleasure of learning from Jason Grenier (Market Planning Manager), Dean Pawlowski (Interconnection Manager), Nathan Jensen (Resource Planning Manager), and Lori Moxness (Morris area Energy Management Representative) from Otter Tail Power Company, and Lise Trudeau (Emerging Technology Planning Director, State Energy Office in the MN Department of Commerce), as they shared with us how utilities conduct their planning process and implement projects to satisfy climate, resiliency, and economic considerations, as well as the technical measures and incentive programs created to mitigate risks by promoting efficiency and conservation. We were also provided with an overview of the state's work on forecasting energy needs and completed feasibility studies of what our future grid could look like with a greater emphasis on renewable technologies.
